    It works, at 1920 X 1200.

    My 30″ Nixeus has a mal-functioning Display Port port. This cable allowed me to continue using the Nixeus from the DP on the GPU. Although now, the Nixeus is no longer #1 in GPU port priority, the HDMI connected BenQ is. Meaning the boot screen now appears on the BenQ. Not a big deal, just interesting.

    The cables work well. It’s nice that the DisplayPort/HDMI adapters are built into the cables instead of having separate converter boxes. Our IT support company wanted to charge us almost 3x more for equivalent cables.

    BEWARE!

    Make sure to read the description carefully. I did not know what “ Supports Dual-Mode DisplayPort (DP++)” means but DisplayPort signals need to be converted to HDMI unless your monitor or computer does the conversion for you, which mine does not. Make sure to figure this out because you likely need an ACTIVE cable with a converter built into it.

    Pretty short

    When I ordered this cord I made the mistake of not measuring first. I though oh three feet is still pretty long that should be plenty. Don’t be like me. Like the old saying goes “measure twice buy cord once”. With some rearranging I was able to make it work and it is a fine cord otherwise just make absolute sure that three feet is really enough for your application.

    Does Not Work – Please Help

    So I wanted to have my Samsung screen with a displayport connect to my graphics accelerator (Geoforce RTX 3050) that has an HDMI connector. So why would it not work?The 3050 has a display port and an HDMI? So obviously, the display port cable to a display port cable is a no brainer. But why does the display port to the HDMI cable connection not work?Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    The product works great with no issues at all!This cord is exactly what you need if you’re looking for a way to plug in multiple monitors to a gaming computer. Typically unless you have an ‘HDMI Splitter’, if you want to plug in multiple monitors, you’re going to need to plug directly into the graphics card on your computer tower, which requires an HDMI to Display Cable.

    It’s Well-Made and It Works.

    Long story short, this is a cable. It appears to be well-made and it works, which are all one can ask of a cable, hence the five stars.For purposes of context, I used this cable to replace the combination of an HDMI cable, and a DisplayPort to HDMI dongle, to connect the DisplayPort video output of my computer to the HDMI input of my LED monitor. I’d been having intermittent problems with the monitor blanking out or losing sync, as well as startup delays during which Windows seemed to be looking for something, both of which seemed to be related to the dongle; so I decided to try this cable instead. It seems to have solved both problems quite nicely. Yay!While reading through the reviews, however, I noticed that some people said this cable didn’t fit, didn’t work, or reduced the video resolution. I believe most of those folks simply bought the wrong cable. Let me try to simplify things a bit.1. This cable is designed to connect a full-sized DisplayPort output (for example, on a computer) to a full-sized HDMI input (for example, on a monitor, television, or projector). If that is not what you are trying to do, then this is the wrong cable for you.2. The source (for example, a computer) must be DisplayPort, and the destination (for example, a monitor) must be HDMI. It will NOT work in the opposite direction. In geekspeak, this is a unidirectional cable, not a bidirectional one.3. If you’re running your display at 4K/UHD (3840 x 2160), then this cable is NOT what you need. 4K requires an HDMI 1.4 cable. This cable is only rated to work at resolutions up to FHD (1920×1080).Finally, please note that you do NOT need a DisplayPort to HDMI dongle if you use this cable. This cable replaces both the dongle and the cable. So if you’re currently using a dongle / cable combination, remove them both before installing this cable.Richard

    Worked perfectly as expected

    Bought to connect the DP side into a VisionTek VT4950 USB-C KVM, and the HDMI side into a ViewSonic VA2759 27″. Tried dual monitor setups of Windows 11 laptop, and macOS 14.3 M1. After installing DisplayLink software, everything shows as expected with no technical issues of the cable. Like the longer length so if I setup 4+ monitors, I’m still good. Always had great use with Amazon Basics items, and this is no exception.

    Basics DisplayPort to HDMI Display Cable

    My HDMI cables that I currently have did not work with this computer! So I purchased this Uni-Directional cable and it was plug and play! I was able to connect this cable to my 22 inch Samsung TV to use as a computer screen to my new Lenova Tiny mini computer! The owner was so gracious as to send me a keyboard and mouse with my computer. The computer works great, no issues. The performance is outstanding. I work from home and it was perfect for my second job!

    One end is supposed to be USB, but is a defective looking HDMI square on one side.

    I ordered HDMI one end and USB other end, and received HDMI one end and a defective HDMI other. Will return.Oh wow, was I wrong. Item is still useless to me, but as I had never seen one I thought it was defective. Purchasing error as I wanted HDMI/USB, and thought that is what I purchased. Eating my words with a bit of crow on the side. Of course, I have no idea of its quality as I have no monitor with that display port.Apologies to all parties.

    I needed this for a TV in my office that only had HDMI inputs. My computer only has displayport outputs. I hooked it up and the desktop automatically extended. Nice to have another monitor. I don’t do a lot of high intensity stuff so I can’t really comment of picture. I would buy again.

    Latches Broken but picture fine

    I ordered two in order to replace a “better made” Uni branded cable that I suspect somehow fried the displayports on three of my video cards.My main “monitor” is a 50 inch TV over HDMI, but the other three video outputs are Displayport and my two smaller monitors only have HDMI input. These two monitors are not being used for anything that needs a high refresh rate or any competitive gaming. One monitor is a Huion Kamvas for art, the other is a small 22 inch TV.Even connected over a cheap coupler and a 6 foot extension cable, the signal is clear and fast enough to watch video, play games on, and anything else I want on my secondary monitors while using my TV for console gaming.My only issue is that one of the two cables either lacks the advertised locking cable, or the button to release the locking clamps is broken.

    Connects An Old Computer To A TV

    I have an older DELL minitower computer that I use for periodic tasks and decided to connect an old flat screen tv to it as a secondary monitor. This cable allowed me to plug in to the computers’ DisplayPort ports and output video to the tv’s HDMI connections. I have tried both DisplayPort plugs on the computer as well as all three HDMI ports on the tv without any problems.The video is fine for watching movies (my reason for doing this) but limited to what this low-end tv can do. Not a surprise but something to be mindful of if you plan to do the same. Overall, I am happy with this cable since it appears to be well made and is functioning fine.Hopefully, this review is helpful to you.

    Purchased a few of these to connect an Apple TV, Nintendo Switch, and Playstation 5 to my 4K television as I had very old non-high speed cables.     It works

    I am not able to attest to the rating of the picture quality, resolution support or whatever, but it properly converts a DP signal to an HDMI signal. There are no retention locks on the DP side. If having that is important to you look elsewhere. If not having it is important to you, then you’re probably not the kind of person to push these kinds of cables to their limits anyway; go ahead and get this one.
