Good upgrade from a mini 3 pro
The media could not be loaded.
I mainly bought the mini 4 pro for additional features that are not on the mini 3pro and these include1. Waypoints: this feature is really important for me and on the mini 3 pro its only limited to hyperlapse. On this drone, you can do a lot with waypoints including recording a video. I also did a dolly zoom with it using waypoints and the results are just great.2. Smart return to home feature that optimizes the route. This intelligent feature is a plus.3. 360° active tracking where the drone tracks you while revolving around you….this also drew me to the drone.4. Still on active tracking…you can choose many angles to be tracked from including the front. Mini 3 only has parallel and tracking from behond.5. The VR return to home feature. Not really a selling point to move from the mini 3 pro but its fancy.6. The optin to fly nearer to the ground…some shots really come out great with that motion nearer to the ground.7. Multidirectional sensors…they are not an obstacle avoidance guarantee but work really well except for something small as tree banches (twigs) without leaves or electric lines…sometimes it depends on the speed. The cons1. Still pricey2. While I appreciate the advancement of the drone, I feel DJI can still push for more features on the drone. For example, the drone has preprogrammed moves > quickshots and mastershots. I feel like I should be able to also add my preprogrammed moves. Waypoints is not exactly what I have in mind. I should be able to use my preferred moves on any location. I feel this is possible since we already have waypoints.3. Tracking humans/ objects, although pretty much accurate but needs improvement. I did some tracking with my vehicle and it lost me several times when going behind trees. Trust me, it has an intelligent feature that makes it able to re-lock the object but it is not entirely accurate and most times it stopped tracking. At one point it resumed tracking but on another car not mine.Overall, I love this drone and has some key features that made me upgrade. The benefits far outweigh not upgrading.

Best under 250 gram drone I’ve found.
This is the best small drone I have ever flown. It weighs 249 grams when ready to fly, and doesn’t require registration. It has all the features of the larger drones and has a professional quality camera. The RC2 is the best remote I have ever operated. It has precision responce and allows you to easily place your drone for the perfect shot. The fly more kit comes with 3 batteries, a charging hub, spare propellers, the RC2 remote, and the drone, complete with propeller guard and gimbal cover. All packed in a nice shoulder bag. Compact and easy to carry along wherever you go.My favorite feature to play with is the Global panorama and the apps built-in 360 degree viewer. The 2 attached photos are 2 different ways to view and save the same global panoramic shot. One of the best drones I have found. I would recommend it for anyone that is serious about flying.MickOlympia WA

Hard to find something not to like. But I found one
If I had to pick something of course it be more battery life, no geofencing, no remote id (that’s the FAA though).Initial reviewGetting to the drone this is a nice step up from the se. The quality still stands apparent. Smooth movements. The controller a pleasure to use. Really good camera carried from the version 3 pro. This adds side obstacle avoidance and unlike the se gets away from the lower quality video footage (which still looks really good even in the se) along with adding obstacle avoidance. While the obstacle avoidance isnt a guarantee as it’ll not see smaller branches and wires, nor work in low light it at least adds some extra protection. If you have the version 3 pro this isn’t much of a step up for you. Might want to wait for the next model.. If you have the se you’ll step up to getting obstacle avoidance and subject tracking. Worth the upgrade. The batteries in the version 3 fit this 4 pro as well. The 4 also adds bottom lights if you come from the se.Even bring under 250 grams it still has remote id for107 users. I haven’t looked deep enough in the application to see if it can be shutoff. Like all dji’s the user interface is about the best out there. The compact size, like all the minis makes it easy to carry. It’s very convenient. A breeze to get up and going very quickly probably the best camera for the mini segment. If you have one of the to more be pro drones you’ll find yourself still grabbing this for simple smaller size and convenience. This is good enough for my most professional work with adding filters. Beyond this drone you’ll have to move to the higher models with aperture control. No drone is perfect. But this is closer than we’ve had before to it in this segment. My main ,(reaching here) complaint is still run time. But the extra processing power and obstacle avoidance takes more juice from the battery. We might be running into limitations at this point In battery science. Like any mini it will have some trouble in higher wind. If you need aperture control you’ll have to move up. You can’t have everything, but for it’s size this drone comes close. Be interesting to see what the next model bringsIf you do have the mini 3 or se, you still have a pretty amazing little done. While this is very nice. If the mini 3 se fits your needs I’d be stay there. And the previous minis are becoming really good deals right now. While the obstacle avoidance is nice. It’s not exactly a necessity, or add said a guarantee. Look around with the camera as you should be anyway.Edit: Have to lower from 5 stars to 3. After seeing someone else’s hit a tree and one of the legs breaking off, I realized the obstacle avoidance is far from perfect, but worse yet this is made of some really low grade plastic or something. Understand the want of keeping under 250 grams but it can’t be made this low quality for this much money. It shouldn’t just break. That’s ridiculous for this much $.

Excellent for 1st timers
Researched quite a while and settled on this drone as a noob. It does not disappoint. Easy to fly and not run into everything. Instructions could be better organized and the reason for the 4stars. The fly more package does NOT include any microSD card so be aware you will not have much video time without one.

Awesome first drone!
I am new to drones and this is my first one. I have flown it a few times now and it’s really easy to use and has lots of features I never knew drones were capable of doing. I really like the auto tracking features, in which you can select an object (person) and have the drone follow it. The auto take off, return to home, and land are also features that are really cool. I am aware that most drones are capable of that. What really stands out are the sensors that provide 360 degree obstacle avoidance, as not many drones of this size have this feature. With recent firmware updates, you can actually “see” (in black and white) out of the 2 front and 2 rear sensors. This means if you’re piloting the drone, you can swipe on the controller and pull up a window showing you what each of those sensors are seeing, one at a time. If you’re going forward, you can pull up one of the rear sensors and see what’s behind the drone. If you’re going backward you can see what’s in front of the drone. The controller with the built in screen is a nice touch, as you do not need to use your phone. The only thing I wish was better is the screen recording. When flying the drone, you record what the drone sees on either an SD card or the drone’s built in storage. You can also record the controller’s screen, which is a really cool feature. The controller has an SD card slot to do that, but it will not record the screen to the SD card even if you select it in the settings. Instead it saves screen records internally on the controller. To access those records, you’ll have to hook the controller up to your computer. From what I understand, the controller can’t record directly to the SD card due to bandwidth. Previous DJI control models recorded the screen as low res and was able to record directly to the SD card. The controller included in this bundle records the screen as hi res, which is too big to record directly to the SD card. This is a minor issue, but I thought I should bring it up. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this drone. I just wish I had more time and places to fly it.

Seriously. Just get it.
If you’re in the market for a drone this is pretty much the best you can do for the price. Cheaper drones have significantly reduced capabilities, and much more expensive drones are not really any better except for possibly flying in very windy conditions. Just be aware that the version with the plus batteries will need to be registered. Not a big deal in the US, took me about an hour to get everything done including the trust certification.

DJI Mini 4 Pro Dead On Arrival
Received new DJI Mini 4 Pro, charged up the batteries, installed new firmware updates, took drone out for test flight and it does nothing, ie Dead On Arrival.Has a Power System hardware error and a ESC connection error as well as a Gimbal stuck error. Propellers would not even turn on and it never did anything.Rebooted controller and drone numerous times and reinstalled firmware updates many times all no avail. Error codes prevent any use whatsoever of the drone. It has never flown and only had it for 24 hours and entire drone is boxed up and being shipped back to DJI for replacement.Hopefully they replace it and I get a good one that works properly.Update, sent in unit to DJI repair and they immediately shipped me a new Mini 4, that’s excellent service, they paid for shipping and all.

So easy to use
I was a little skeptical about learning how to fly a drone. There are a few videos you can watch that make set up and use incredibly simple. I love how much fun this drone is. I bought the storage card for videos. The quality is top-notch. I bought it with the updated video controller and three extra batteries.

This little guy is amazing
The battery life is meh but I love the quality of photos and videos I get on this. It has an IMPRESSIVE radius. I just love it. I wish I had more places to travel to so I could use it to it’s capacity. This is good for beginners and advanced. You probably won’t be able to use it to it’s ability though unless you’re an avid traveler doing some crazy hikes. Its super fun regardless.

Ideal all-around travel drone.
This is my third drone, after the Phantom 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro.It’s just great. Excellent image and video quality for most people’s needs. Crazy small and lightweight for the performance it offers. Excellent flight time, SUPER portable. The literal only complaint I might have is that it has a fixed aperture, so you’ll need to be swapping ND filters a bit more than with, say, the Mavic Pro line. But for all the advantages this has in a small size, paired with this remote… It’s not that big of a deal.Highly recommend this particular kit for anyone who wants to just get everything they need (don’t forget an SD card) in one package. And as mentioned above, you’ll want the ND filter kit to go along with it.I often carry this with me on my bike – and the entire kit is so small, it’s crazy easy to bring along in a bike bag, in the top of a camera backpack, in a suitcase, or even a large purse.

Love this drone
Everything about this drone is adorable. It handles very well in strong winds. Flies safely providing the owner doesn’t recklessly fly with caution. I recommend to always have visual at all times and check the battery life while flying. I had a close call where I almost crashed the drone.

Smokin!
This drone is the S$%&!!Definitely recommend. It works very well. If you are trying to push the obstacle detection to its limits, you might be disappointed as 360 degree detection and how it corrects, is very new, especially for such a small, light drone. But if you can keep it away from wires and small twigs with no leaves, then it should function pretty well. I imagine it will do much better with trees in the summer when leaves come back. But i had it follow me and it worked very well. I like that it will fly backwards and film me and when i turn, it will rotate around and stay right in front of me. I can’t sit here and say enough good things about it. From the mini 2 to this one, was a very nice jump. Can’t wait to see what the next one’s look like. DJI and Insta360 is all the cameras you need unless you’re getting paid to shoot events. I have had this drone 1400 ft and it was fine. I have hit things with the rotors and it stabilized before it hit the ground. About 15 ft off the ground. So, it’s very capable unless you lose a propeller completely. The twig ripped the end of 2 propellers off and it was still flying well enough to get it down and land it. The obstacle detection does not see very small things like twigs or wires, fishing line. So if you’re around those things, it will run right into them. Be careful. Also, I love the new camera cover, not a huge fan of the arm folding and the strap to hold blades still is horrendous. You just need a Velcro strap that you can wrap all the way around the drone and it works beautifully. I got a waterproof hard case to transport it, and a strap for the remote. Then i got a polarizing filter set. Couple 128gb cards, 1 for the remote and one for the drone. Good to go.I will say that they haven’t quite nailed the streaming live functions in the software yet. It can do YouTube/rtmp, but it’s not working great, and it’s not easy enough for most people to figure out. They need to remove the telemetrics from the video feed of the hdmi out of the controller to give you a nice clean, camera only view (hopefully in a software update) and then just hook your laptop to wifi, and capture card it. That will give you a 4k stable video feed with minimal issues. That one change would make a WORLD of difference to the streaming community. Thanks.I rated 4 stars because I want that software update for HDMI out before it’s 5 stars for me. There is no reason they can’t accomplish this as they are already adding it to the video feed. Just make a switch in settings that doesn’t do that, and you get clean camera view HDMI out!!

Very user friendly
Best drone I have ever flown until it flew off! Photo shows last 10 seconds of footage the app took once I lost connection. I was apx 1200 feet away over flat area behind trees in an open field. I had full bars on connection and almost full battery on drone and RC controller when I got the message “aircraft not connected.” That was it no more connection and the drone did not return home. I have no idea what happened to it. There is a river between where I was at and the drone so I could not look for it. Currently waiting for the river to go down. That said I used the FLYAWAY on the RC controller and it was a pretty smooth process. It uploaded the data to DJI and they reached out to me the same day and asked me to upload the logs in the text file. I did that and got an email the next day saying that the data showed everything was working properly when all contact was lost. They advised they were sending me a new drone and battery. I was expecting a refurbished or slightly used drone but got a brand new MINI 4 and intelligent battery today. Super pleased with the service and with the drone. Still not sure what happened but I did see hawks in the area. Not sure if the last 10 seconds are before the aircraft lost connection or after. I have yet to find the drone. Other than that the drone is really responsive and takes great photos and video. Even when it is windy out it still takes pretty good photos.

Very impressed.
My son (40) lost his previous drone (Mavic SE) due to Phone over heating and shut down and drone returned to home which he had launched from the ski boat. The boat had drifted down the river when his phone over heated and drone went back to home and landed in the river and it sank. Lesson learned. The mini pro 4 is superior to his old one. He takes a lot of video and builds videos so this drone is a quantum leap for him.

Best mini drone on the market
Bought this as a replacement for one that crashed. Still had everything else from the flymore kit, so I needed a drone-only replacement, since that didn’t seem to be an option, this was the best option. The controller may never be used, but the drone has quite a few hours on it now.I highly recommend getting the flymore kit, a single battery is guaranteed to leave you wanting more.

Love the RC2 Controller
I mainly bought this for the RC2 controller capabilities. DJI rules in the consumer market and this is no exception. Size, portability and video quality are superb. Long flight times and never drops out. Range is phenominal.

Easy to learn, Easier to use
Absolutely love this drone! Camera and video resolution are fantastic. The controls, stability, and obstacle avoidance sensors make it incredibly easy to fly through trees, follow waypoints, and to get fantastic videos doing it. My first drone, but for anyone considering getting one, Do it! Fantastic piece of technology.

Very Steady in wind
Well worth the money. I have flown as far as 9000 feet away at 400’ altitude and still had good signal until I started to lower. The drone lost connection with the controller at 150’ and started coming home. There were trees in the way. Still very impressive. Photos are fantastic Night flying and automatic landing light is really cool Easier to fly than the $50 ones. I connect my tablet to the controller for better visibility

Great Purchase for First Time Drone Flyer
Have only been flying this for a few days but as a first time drone flyer the controls and instructions are quite easy.I know there are a lot of features included in this drone but with time they will be unveiled.Performs very well and the quality of the photos and videos are amazing for such a tiny drone. Are they as good as the Magic Pro Cine ? NO and it’s not supposed to be but the trade off is portability and this thing is small !I’d recommend this package with the extended batteries as it gives you best bang for the buck.

The DJI MINI 4 PRO is an excellent drone for most people
The media could not be loaded.
I’ve using the mini 4 pro for more than a month now. The camera quality its stunning when recording 4k 60fps, and you can take photos of 48mp, the camera also has automatic modes what will shot different shots and it can also follow things you choose, for example following you or any other object. The drone can resist high speed winds like it shows in the video, that day the wind was very strong and the drone handled it like nothing more like 20 to 30 mph winds. The omnidirectional obstacle sensing works great during the day and it’s helpful. The RC 2 controller works really well too, the controller has a nice design and the software is very responsive when flying the drone. I got the extended batteries and the battery last a good amount of time, the only problem you gonna have is that the extended batteries make the drone weigh more than 250 grams which will make you register your drone for recreational purposes but still very easy to register your drone and pass the TRUST exam.

This is an amazing drone
I’ve flown all manner of drones, including several DJI drones. This is by far the best, even better than the more expensive ones. It’s marketed for “beginners” but that’s only to get people to spend money on other “high end” drones so they can say they have a “professional” drone. If you’re unable to take professional videos with this drone you are not a professional. I wish people didn’t believe the marketing. This drone IS good for beginners, since it does have obstacle sensing in all directions. However it is capable of VERY good quality video and images. It has advanced flight features and just as many options as some of the drones twice or three times the price.I got the Fly More Kit with Plus batteries, I can comfortably fly an hour while recording 4k (on three batteries). I would encourage anyone to purchase this drone. I haven’t really put its range to the test, but I’ve taken it close to the batteries range. I’ve flown it out a little over 4 miles away and didn’t lose a single bar of signal strength. I flew it back and still landed with 30% battery. I also took a 4k recording the whole trip to see how that would affect the battery but I had plenty left on landing. If you do buy it, here’s my suggestion, buy the Fly More kit, you’ll be disappointed when your battery is drained because it’s so fun to fly. See if you can get it on payments if the price is a bit out of your range for a lump sum purchase. I also bought insurance (YOU HAVE ONLY 48 HOURS ONCE THE DRONE IS POWERED ON TO BUY INSURANCE), I bought 2-year coverage, which includes water damage or flyaways, keep in mind that if the drone is lost it will cost you about $235 and they will send you a brand new one. I also bought 1 extra battery, since the case holds 3 and the drone holds 1, so I have 4 in total, with the extra battery I can fly for 1hour and 40minutes.This is not a BEGINNER drone, it is GOOD for beginners because of the obstacle avoidance. The only down side is that it feels a little plasticy, AKA cheap. However when you fly it, it’s anything but. It handles wind very well for its size. Don’t expect to fly in major wind though, use your best judgement.

DJI mini 4 pro delivers beyond expectations!!!
Certainly! Here’s a review you can use or adapt for the DJI Mini 4 Pro: Incredible Drone ExperienceThe DJI Mini 4 Pro is nothing short of spectacular. As a drone enthusiast, I’ve owned several models over the years, but this one truly stands out in every aspect.**1. Compact Yet Powerful:**The Mini 4 Pro’s small size is deceiving because it packs a punch. It’s incredibly lightweight and portable, making it perfect for travel or spontaneous shooting sessions. Yet, it doesn’t compromise on performance – the power and stability it offers are remarkable for a drone of this size.**2. Camera Quality:**The 48MP camera is a game-changer. The clarity and detail in the photos and videos are stunning, even in low light conditions. The 4K video quality is crisp, with excellent color accuracy, making my footage look professional right out of the box. The new HDR mode and the ability to shoot in D-Log M have significantly improved my post-processing flexibility.**3. Intelligent Features:**The intelligent flight modes like FocusTrack, MasterShots, and Hyperlapse are incredibly intuitive and have allowed me to capture cinematic shots with minimal effort. The obstacle avoidance system is top-notch, giving me confidence to fly in more challenging environments.**4. Flight Performance:**The flight time is impressive, often exceeding the advertised 34 minutes, depending on conditions. The new O4 transmission system provides a stable connection and allows me to fly further and higher without losing control or video feed, which has expanded my creative possibilities.**5. User-Friendly:**Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pilot, the Mini 4 Pro is easy to use. The DJI Fly app is straightforward, and the tutorials available make it simple to get started. The return-to-home feature is also very reliable, ensuring peace of mind during every flight.**Final Thoughts:**The DJI Mini 4 Pro has redefined my drone experience. It offers the perfect balance of portability, power, and high-quality imaging, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to capture stunning aerial footage. If you’re on the fence about upgrading or buying your first drone, this is the one to get. DJI has once again set the bar high with this incredible piece of technology.

Great drone, but a couple of things you should know
It is unbelievable how much tech is packed into this small drone! Many features that are useful and easy to access. Take the time to learn the drone and you will be rewarded with very good video and photos. Easy to fly and the signal from the remote to the drone is rock solid. It is also very quiet, which is important if you want to fly unnoticed. But two things you should know. 1) The drone can handle a substantial amount of wind, but it really bounces around a lot in winds above 20mph. The gimbal handles most of the bouncing around, but not all. Just be careful to make sure you have enough battery power to get back to home if you are going against the wind. I’ve had to lower the altitude and/or go into sport mode a couple of times when the wind picked up while flying to make headway against the wind. If it is too windy, you will see the camera “jerk” at times because the gimbal cannot handle the bouncing around. 2) And this is a bigger issue for me than the wind, is the difficulty in replacing the props. DJI decided to use screws tipped with loctite on the threads to hold the props on. Works great holding them on, but very difficult to get the screws out to replace the props. The screwdriver DJI gives you is a joke, so I ended up having to buy a more quality made screwdriver (you need a PH0000 screwdriver) that works better but replacing the props is still not an easy job because of the screws. I can’t imagine trying to do this out in the field if by chance you nick a small branch and damage a prop. Although you do not have to replace the props very often, it is a major undertaking if the screws are tightly attached because of the loctite. I’ve seen YouTube videos where people have heated the screws to loosen the loctite or grinded off the plastic props with a dremel to get them off. With all of the superior engineering DJI puts into their drones, this method of replacing the props is baffling. Otherwise, this is a great drone with a lot of features.

Very good drone, DJI Fly app issues
The media could not be loaded.
I’ve had this drone for almost 8 months now and it is amazing! The camera quality for a drone this small is astonishing. Its tracking, object recognition, and obstacle avoidance features are great tools that not many other drones its size and price have. I initially thought about getting the Mini 3 Pro, but let me tell you, the features the omnidirectional obstacle detection unlocks in the Mini 4 Pro are worth it! But, I’d recommend buying additional batteries as these smart features drain the battery faster. Without them engaged, my drone is flying for about 27 minutes per battery. Again, not bad at all for its compact size and portability. The only issue I’ve had is with image transmission. I plug the RC-N2 to my android phone and, from time to time, I’d lose image and telemetry but remain in control, I suspect this is more DJI Fly app issue than anything else. If you can buy the bundle that includes the RC-2 (with the built-in screen) instead, I’d also recommend it. It’s also a shame that SDKs are not out yet as I do some aerial photogrammetry but I get it, it’s not what it was built for.Other than that, it is an altogether amazing drone for hobbyists and travelers. If you are a beginner, you can easily learn with it and you will not grow out of it.I’m also posting some shot I got with it.

DJI Mini 4 Pro – wonderful purchase.
DJI Mini 4 Pro, this is a very convenient and functional drone. I’ve been flying this drone for a couple of days. Great impressions. Before that, I didn’t have much experience with another drone. As a beginner, I’m very pleased with the voice prompts in different situations. It helps a lot until you have enough practice. I don’t recommend turning them off. They can tell you at a critical moment what you need to do to avoid crashing the drone.Batteries are preferably with increased power. The ones supplied with the drone are also good, but the remaining 10 – 15 percent is usually spent on returning the drone to the takeoff point. Depending on how far or high you are. So keep this in mind too.And keep in mind that a battery with more power can make your drone weigh more than the minimum, for which registration is not required.Pay attention to the codec number when filming video. I use H.264. But you may have H.265 and then the video may not play on some computers and will require additional installation of the Microsoft codec.Practice carefully and you will easily master this monster, which weighs no more than 250 grams.I recommend this drone. Get maximum pleasure!

Beginner friendly in so many ways
This is my first drone and while I thought it would be intimidating, it really isn’t once you read the instructions and practice some of the safety features before doing any substantial flights.I would HIGHLY recommend going out and practicing those safety features because things like the return to home button that is so obvious once you read or watch the instructions are crucial.I’m not saying I was, but hypothetically if someone were in a scenario they can’t see the drone because they did something dumb on a breezy day and want it to come home ASAP and don’t remember how to RTH while they’re somewhat panicking that can come in handy.Oh, and the alarms from sensors should someone (again hypothetically) try to fly it backwards into a tree on their first flight might also come in handy.Other than the safety features and multiple sensors which ultimately made my mind up between this and the 3 series which lacks those features, the built in flight modes for various shots make this super simple to fly and get nice shots for beginners like myself.

Having fun with drone, too bad my laptop is slow
This drone has so many great features. I was given a DJI Mavic Fly more combo two years ago and I was afraid to fly it. So I returned it. I learned more about drones since then and purchased the DJI mini 4 Pro bundle. It has everything I am capable of using. Its 360 degree obstacle avoidance is fantastic. It returns to base correctly every time. I do find the RC 2 controller is not as good in bright sunlight as I like. I had to step inside a lanai to use the controller. I couldn’t see the drone from there. Unaware that I directed it over my neighbor’s, out over the lake and over wooded forest I finally saw a few landmarks and directed it closer to home. Finally, with a couple of minutes to spare the controller alerted me of time constraints. It returned to base uneventfully. Now I find all sorts of YouTube videos covering advanced features this drone is capable of. It will take a lot of fun time to learn all it is capable of. It’s programmable, even without the drone connected. You save the course and camera settings before you go outside. You don’t have to be a drone master to get great videos like the ones you see in car commercials etc.Definitely a good buy.

This super incredibly lightweight drone can be taken anywhere, I’ve taken it on many trips around the world. I love the battery life and how easy it is to control with the user interface. Probably my favorite purchase of the year.

Impressed! But don’t expect much for obstacle avoidance
The Mini 4 Pro exceeds my expectations for everything except obstacle avoidance. I flew sideways at low speed right into the wood siding of our home on the patio. It was an overcast day but light and I guess the drone just couldn’t see low contrast variations in the wall siding panels. It was a giant wall. Camera based obstacle avoidance has serious limitations when not combined with Lidar. So never rely on obstacle avoidance for your flying, never! The rest is all good. Better than expected camera. Video and stills photography are really good. No issues with signal and image transmission like my very poor Mavic Mini 1 (original). I need a big screen to help with focus and photography, so I opted for RC-N2 screenless controller and just use it with a $10 adapter and my old Samsung 10.5″ tablet most of the time. The larger image is a must for photos/video and spotting branches and small stuff to avoid a crash. I also got one of the plus sized DJI batteries which does last quite long. I’ll probably pick up another down the road.I’ve flown this drone up to 393′ over 1km away so far with zero buffering or lag. One thing I’ll need to figure out is color grading workflow. The DJI DLog M is easy to process in Davinci after you download DJI’s Mini 4 to REC709 LUT. And photos are easy in Lightroom Classic. But both videos and photos tend to gravitate to this kinda of sick looking greens color. Especially on fir trees. Canon DSLRs had similar yellow-green habits 20 years ago. I’ll figure out a good color management automation for this drone. Just don’t expect the DJI Mini 4 LUT to work out of the box, and your photos will need special color workflow tweaks at least for nature/green subjects.

Great reception & range
This drone has great reception and range which is nice however it’s not as aerobatic as the avata…. I was hoping that it would be.. even so this is a great drone to just float around and have fun.. the longer flight time is great also

Best drone Mfgr out there… 3rd mavic drone
Just buy it and save a ton of money trying lesser quality drones. Assuming the DJI ban doesn’t take effect against us. This has been the most reliable feature filled drone I’ve owned out of 9 or 10 other brands some just flew away and never came back. One broke upon first flight another only flew for 2 minutes before recharge needed. My first 2 just flew the coupe and one it 2 others that may or a not have caught fire…

Mini 4 pro…
There really isn’t anything I can say about the Mini 4 pro, that hasn’t already been said. I have two other drones and this by far is superior, I love that fact that I don’t have to use my phone which is one reason I purchased. I was on the fence for while but it definitely fit my needs. Extremely stable, and captures high quality video and pics. Get the fly more bundle and get the extra coverage. I’ve never had a drone fly away and have had minor crashes when I first started flying. It was a Syma knockoff of the DJI phantom. Lol. Had to use line of sight to shoot video and pics. My how far the tech and drones in general have come. Be safe and happy flying!

Great drone for the money!
Good:Obstacle avoidance3 batteriesEverything you need, except memory cards to get flying<250g, so you don't need Part 107 license to fly with the base batteries that are includedEasy to flyLots of instructional videos online to get you goingFollow mode is excellentBad:Out of box experience is a bit iffy. You'll spend about 2 hours getting this thing going with software updates, learning how to use, and the DJI warranty question2 days to decide if you want the DJI warrantyShould come with minimal memory cardsNotes:When you start this thing up, you have to register it, and for those new to the DJI drones, you have to have a username and password, like every other electronic thing on the planet. However, right after you do this, you have to activate the drone, and that starts the 2 day clock ticking to get the DJI Care, which is an excellent value at ~$100 for 2 years. It covers two lost drones/year. So, if money is a bit tight after plunking down the cost of this, wait until you have the $$$ to get the DJI care.If you do buy this, also prepare to spend:$100 for DJI Care (Highly recommended, but not required for flight)$50 for 2 good quality memory cards - I tried one laying around, and the drone/controller rejected them$20 for a sun blocker - Make sure it's for the RC-2, not the DJI RC. The antennas and mounting screw pattern is different between the two$10 for a screen protector$15 for a lanyardThe last 3 can be purchased as you need to, but the memory cards are required, at least one one the drone is if you want to have extended video from the drone. It has 2GB built in.

Great for everyone unless you actually need a much more expensive drone
I upgraded from Mini 3 pro to Mini 4 pro. Glad I did. The 4 is as good or better than the 3 in every way.- The flying is pretty easy. The built-in maneuvering options are powerful and easy. 360 obstacle avoidance works and makes flying less stressful.- The video quality is as good as any national geographic video. If you know how to use filters and manual video settings it’s even better.- The night mode takes very good video as long as there is at least a little light.- The remote gets great distance. After having the 4 for a few weeks and logging about 6 hrs of flight in daylight and night, I cant imagine anyone needing a more expensive drone unless you truly need:- thermal imaging- real infrared/night imaging- ability to carry payloads and add manipulator attachments- weather proof flight in rainIf you don’t actually need one of those features, then you dont need anything more than the Mini 4 pro.The only 2 negatives on the 4 (and this is more feedback for DJI than a reason not to buy)- the case/bag that comes with the fly more combo cant accommodate the RC2 unless you remove the sticks. DJI should assume everyone will want a screen visor and neck strap, and will want the convenience of leaving them installed all the time. So DJI should size the included bag to accommodate the drone, the RC2 with visor and neck strap attached, and at least one (preferably 2) 3-battery charger/bases with batteries installed.- the prop keeper supplied by DJI for the 4 is not as good as the $9 3rd party prop keeper I got for the Mini 3 pro. It is harder to put on and puts more stress on the blades.

Very enjoyable
The DJI Mini 4 Pro is my fist drone and I can say I’m very pleased with it. The drone handles with incredible precision, it’s response time to the RC-2 remote is almost unnoticeable, the camera is crystal clear and has low and high MegaPixel options, and while it may take a little bit to get use to using the features they didn’t cause any issues. The dji software on the drone and RC-2 are very compliant with airspace marked restricted with the FAA, so you don’t have to worry about breaking airspace regulations if you’re new, added with the fact that it gives you notifications or nearby areas which to be aware of prior to flight. Also being under 250g is awesome so it doesn’t need to be registered to the FAA (keep in mind regardless of weight. You have to follow FFA rules)Overall, I am satisfied with this product, and definitely plan to purchase one of their larger drones over 250g

Range was a lot further than I expected!
I do not know that the maximum range is (yet), but I have flown it over a mile away and the indicator on the display screen was telling me that I still had maximum connectivity to the drone. I guess I am used to old drones being limited to a few hundred yards, at most. There are a LOT of features built into the software, so selecting settings could be daunting for the weak beginners. It is a great drone, and I am very happy with it after five flights, I look forward to trying out the advanced waypoint and auto camera controls for smooth video pans. I am impressed with it.The most troubling part was the initial out of the box, power on, set up, just trying to get the firmware to update to the latest version. I think what worked for me was to power things off, then back on and try again. I’d hit a snag, power off and on both parts, retry and make it one more step. It finally worked, but I had used up almost 75% of the drone battery in that process. Which was fine for me, because it made my maiden flight about 5 minutes long and I kept it within 50 yards of me to learn the control setup.

GREAT QUAD BUT USELESS DOCUMENTATION
I did a short test flight with the Mini 4 Pro this morning and it flies great. However, the various documentation that comes with it is absolute useless…the print is extremely small and it is not written in English. Thankfully my experience with the Mini 3 Pro allowed me to fly the Mini 4 Pro. If you order this model I recommend you also order the book titled “DJI Mini 4 Pro-The Practice Manual.”

Disappointed
Opened the package and unfolded the drone just for one of the front arms to fall off immediately, hanging by the cord. I was able to reattach but upon turning on the drone it wouldn’t calibrate properly and there was still a difference in the way the arms looked. Do not want to risk flying that way.

Best Toy Ever
Dude!I bought a cheep drone for $100 bucks just to see if they are hard to fly. After a couple fights I was hooked. That drone failed, got another replacement, then a refund.Don’t waist you time with a starter POS. Get the DJI pro 4 and skip a step. Do check out all the videos available and make your flying experience more enjoyable. A grand is a prety good investment so do some homework.First fight was from the park to make sure all worked. Obstical avoidance, RTH, and tracking. Next flight was from home, (in a hole) and traveled 2 miles to my buddies house in the hills. Lost signal and the drone returned home.Very pleased with JDI technology. Video looks great as well.

Just a rebrand of the mini 3 pro
Overall a good drone. 360 obstacle avoidance allowed for the cool tracking feature. Other than that, the mini 3 pro does the same thing. Can’t say better night clarity is a feature as it is just a software improvement on the drone as to how it processes light and can easily be brought to the mini 3 pro. It uses the same camera as the mini 3 pro. Same video quality side by side and photos are the same but dji decided to make it just slightly different so you couldn’t even use the accessories for the 3 on the 4. Yea better range is now on the drone due to being on occusync 4 but that means you can’t use the goggles on this drone while on the 3 you can. If getting the drone as your first mini series drone or upgrading from the 1 and arguably the 2, then go for it. I would hardly call it an improvement to the mini 3 pro and wouldn’t call the upgrade worth it. It’s why I returned mine. Controls the same as the 3 pro so usability is easy once you know what all the menu options do and can easily be your daily driver as long as you are ok in loss of quality from mavic or even the air series. It’s noisy especially in low light conditions. Take it for what it is
