Very Nice Light
This is a very nice light but I think it’s best to use a photocell bulb with it instead of the bulb that comes with the light. I wish they offered a clear glass version because I think the raIn drop bubbles in the glass make it look dirty. It’s a very nice light tho… a tip if you want to keep bugs out of it > a plastic coffee can lid fits perfectly on the bottom, just cut a circle inside the plastic lid and glue some screen in it. It works : )

Stylish, Value Priced-Value Built
The old adage, “You get what you pay for?” Is also correct in lighting. The lights are stylish, for sure, especially if you have more than one porch light to change out, but solidly built is not a way to describe it.Pro’s:-Stylish-Easy to installCon’s:-Not made as sturdy as shown onlineSuggestions:-Spread out a towel to lay everything out before beginning (to prevent scratching)-Read through instructions carefully-I had to tighten up everything on the fixture that even had a resemblance of being loose, i.e., socket-Unless you enjoy blinding bright light from the LED’s that come with this (also stylish), buy a lower wattage bulb. They are so bright it may violate Dark Sky Ordinances that are in effect in many metro areas (a little sarcasm there).Only time will tell the durability and life of this porch light.

Looks nice, gets the job done, I like it!
Pretty cool looking lamp. I wanted a porch light that has the bulb pointing down since my old one pointed up. Install was easy, no problem. It comes with a cool looking bulb that you see in the promo photo, but I didn’t use it because the illumination is weak compared to other bulbs. I used my Feit LED 100watt-comparable bulb that uses 15watts and it works great. I plan to eventually buy two more and install them on the front of my garage. I like that there aren’t many obstructions from the design of the product so you get all the light coming through instead of seeing shadows like other designs.

If the light wasn’t so great, I would have taken another star off
If the light wasn’t so great, I would have taken another star off. I have ordered 3 and have had to search for the hardware rolling around in all three upon opening the box. Also, the trim ring on the globe just sits there. It is not tightly seated or does it lock into place. I fixed this by adding a dab of silicone to hold it in place. Every time the wind blew, you could hear it outside rattling.

Great update to the outside of our house
We really love the look on the outside of our home. Our house is 21 years old, and we had the original fixtures up. We also bought two hanging ones for our front porch. They are good quality and really update our home. We just did our roof, and now our exterior looks fresh and modern. When I take walks, I notice all my neighbors old fixtures! My husband and son were able to install no problem.

Very attractive, perfect size for one story home.
This outdoor wall lamp looks absolutely perfect on the front of my one-story brick house. The only issue that I have with it is that the bulb does not hang straight. If I had more time I am sure that I could fix that myself. Unfortunately, I do not as I am selling the house. I will leave this to the new owner with the satisfaction of knowing that he has a beautiful lamp.

Vintage look with a nice warm glow
I searched around before purchasing this light. I wanted something rustic looking to match my decor and the lighting to be warm, not too bright and not too dark. This light hit the mark. The light itself wasn’t too hard to install, once I figured out that the mounting plate was on backwards!It is LED and the light it comes with is perfectly warm, yet gives off a nice glow. It looks like an expensive light and it’s pretty well made. All in all a great purchase!

Beautiful Lights!!!
My previous porch lights were base model typical outdoor fixtures, they didn’t work well at all and I always had to tell people coming by our house would be pretty much the darkest in the neighborhood. These were installed today with ease and included the bulbs! I love the way they look and they are a significant improvement compared to the ones they replaced! I also love that the bottom is open because I won’t have to worry about moths and bugs getting stuck in the housing! The price was also fantastic and prime shipping is always a wonderful bonus!

Good value and easy to install.
I’m in Montana and it gets very dark in the timber at night. This light is bright enough for a good view of the deck and surrounding area but not so bright it blinds us when we look out the doors and windows. I was able to install both lights in under 15 minutes. They look great and seam to be sturdy.

Pretty. Led cost savings is a big plus.
The “Charlie” light is very attractive and the seeded glass is a nice touch. The bulb adds visual interest along with the cost savings of led. I returned mine because I planned to use outside in a frequently windy location. The bottom metal ring on the glass shade is free floating on the glass rim and jiggles around easily. This would drive me bonkers on windy days. Would be great in a protected location.

Solid – Easy to Install
I purchased 6 of these lights to replace all of our outdoor lights. These are great units. I’m not an electrician (just your average home owner) and I installed these in about 20 minutes to 1 hours time (each). I did have 3 different types of electric boxes, and the small rectangular ones took the longest to install – but nothing that was too tricky. They look great and provide a nice light in the evening (not that “blinding” LED white). Hopefully, these will hold up 20+ years like the fixtures that were there before.

A little larger than I anticipated.
The lamp does look good, and it’s pretty easy to install. (Be careful installing this. you could burn your house down or inflict a very harmful shock. Probably should call an electrician.) Has a heavy look and feel to it. It’s pretty at night.

Buy fixtures that you put your own bulbs in!
Very nice light,love the embedded artificial raindrops in the glass.Lesson learned,do not buy led lights! They will burn out and you can’t replace the special light fixture.Buy the type where you put your own bulb in led bulb etc. You can buy bulbs with their own motion sensor built in if that’s what you want.

A special light fixture.
Beautiful light. Instructions were straight forward and easy to read diagrams. The golden 5 year light bulb shines through the clear seeded glass fixture to light up the whole front porch. Bottom part of the glass has a rim that is made loose but not a problem. I like this fixture so much I ordered 2 more.

I had this installed on my front porch to replace an ugly and outdated fixture. My handyman did not experience any difficulties in installing it. The old fashioned bulb adds a very nice touch. There is no motion detection feature on this item. It’s very pretty and I like it very much!

I love the look from the glass to the size of the light. I have had many compliments on the lights, I have one at both the front and back doors, asking where I got them. The bulb is bright but a very gold light is put off from it. If you like that look, go for it!

Chipped glass and yellow illumimarion
1 lamp arrived with cracked and chipped glass at edge🤨 which I will try to fix/hide. The other lamp was AOK. I am going to change to a different light bulb because the bulb provided casts a distinctly yellow light…good for outdoors, but I placed these fixtures in a bathroom.

Horrible customer service
After trying to install this unit, I noticed that the glass cylinder holes for mounting needed to be better placed. They are causing cracks in the glass and one of the screws never lined up.I tried contacting Globe Electric only to get abysmal customer service and absolutely zero assistance. They do not stand by their products and provide no alternatives to help their customers.I have never received such poor service.

hardware issues
The light itself is not too bad but there were very bad hardware issues. The color is actually black with painted bronze details. to kind of give the impression of “oil rubbed bronze”. The metal body is very thin which may not be consequential but so is the socket ring which hopefully will last in holding up the heavy glass. The hardware issue ruins the look and ease of installation. on the mounting hardware that I received, the screws are not adjustable and they are are a full inch too long (longer than the base is thick). It took 6 washers on the screws to make the screw caps secure the base to the wall. Obviously the wrong hardware for this light. A lot of buyers must have got the right hardware, I did not. This ruined the entire look of the light. So to fix this, I have to cut the screws and clean up the threads which are a very fine metric thread, or find hardware that fits or is adjustable. Both are time consuming and not worth it.

Mounting plates specified at 4” are 6.5 or 4” depending on what box you get, it’s a surprise!
Bought to replace existing sconce lighting on barn that has board on batten siding. Mounting plate was specified as 4” on spec sheet. I thought, “Cool this will fit perfect because the existing sconce light mounting plates also measure 4” and will fit between battens.” The first one opened was then installed and looked great. The second one was unpacked and I marched over to install final light and the mounting plate was 6.5” and wouldn’t fit between battens. Frustrated, I improvised and used the old lights mounting plates for both to match and it looks ok but not what was described in item spec sheet. If first wasnt already installed all would have been returned immediately. Two stars since I kept them anyway for the look and price.

Rusted and falling apart after 4 years
I have outdoor light fixtures that have been in place (and still in great condition) decades after purchase. This fixture, however, is rusted and crumbling and will need to be replaced SOON after only 4 years. It was pretty for a while but won’t hold up long-term.

Oil-Rubbed Bronze item has changed. The base is now 7″ instead of 4.7″
I am in the middle of my third replacement with Amazon for this item in Oil-Rubbed Bronze. I originally ordered three lights. Two of them matched the description perfectly and are working great. The third item is not the same. The base (portion that attached to the wall) is 7″ in diameter instead of the stated 4.73″. In the home-building industry, the standard size for any scone base is <6", so it is near impossible to find a mounting block to accommodate this large base. The item number, description and the product name has not changed but the dimensions are in fact very different. The manufacturer even updated the box to show this new, larger dimension. Amazon's customer service gave me the canned, "we can assure you that this will not happen again," but i'm not holding my breath. It appears that the manufacture changed the design without making it clear to potential customers, costing Amazon lots of money in return shipping costs and *potential* lost customers. .

This light fixture is even better looking in person than in the photo. The electrician installed it in less than 10 minutes. The INCLUDED Edison light bulb gives off a lovely, warm light and the “bubbles” in the glass shade are a nice touch. Just perfect!

Beautiful and worth the money!
I installed this myself and it is very simple. Absolutely love these. I did however use a different bulb than what it came with. Just wanted the bright white led instead.
