A little wonky, and not easy to change bulbs…
These fixtures replaced our outdated fixtures when we bought a new home. They are beautiful but a couple of them are bent inward toward the wall and can’t be straightened…also, they are not sealed from bugs because the glass is loose at the top and those little suckers get in there and set up shop, or simply die…now the glass is icky. And here’s the annoying part, you have to unscrew the fixture to change the bulb, OR to remove the glass to clean it, and you are given small screws that will potentially get lost upon removal…maybe a better design would be a screw with a ball or something you could finger tighten/loosen, if there isn’t a simpler way to change the bulb or clean the fixture. I still love the look and the price was decent, just wish they were better quality and not bent…my OCD wants them to be straight, so I just try to ignore the crooked ones. On closer inspection, now that they’ve been up a couple of months, the fixtures that are exposed to the elements have rusted screws…yep, the same ones you have to remove to maintain your fixture. Ugh. I think I’ll move the 4 stars down to 3… May want to pay more and get a better fixture.

Beautiful upgrade to my patio. Just don’t force the screws.
The screws that attach the bracket to the wall WILL snap in half if you put any kind of torque on them. Best to use the screws that are already on the old one you’re replacing. Other than that (and the 20 minutes of playing Inspector Gadget, trying to remove a screw with no head), the light looks great. My ‘box’ in the wall only has threads half as deep as the screws that come with this unit (hence the snapping when it bottomed out). At first I thought I was missing the piece to hold the glass cover on, but it turned out that it came pre-screwed to the unit, so you have to unscrew it first, put the glass on, thread the piece back on to secure the glass, and then install your lightbulb. This was my first install of anything electrical in my home, so I think overall it went well.

Buy LED Edison Bulbs, and have someone who knows electricity help you install!!
I love the way these look, especially with LED Edison Bulbs…and these sconces are really affordable, and provide great light to my backyard.But in terms of installing, it is a blind chore! There are almost no instructions included. There is just a safety warning to turn off your breaker, before you install..and a diagram of black and white wires that are included. ***But, they make no mention of the “other” copper grounding wire. If your home is new, you can probably find a use for this extra wire, but mine was built in 1998, and didn’t have a connection for this extra wire…, so I was left wondering what to do with it. Upon investigation, and advice from my friends, I clipped it and capped it. I hope that this won’t burn down my house!!!The mounting bracket provided was completely useless, with my outlet box, so I had to buy another style that worked with my box.I give the overall style and affordability, an A+ (if used with LED Edison Bulbs), but the installation of the first one was Hard!! Hopefully, the installation of the 2nd and 3rd, goes more smoothly.

Way more stylish than the price would indicate!
Back to buy yet another one of these, as we’re slowly adding these stylish fixtures to the back of our house as well as the front. We get a ridiculous amount of compliments on these; they’re just really stylish lights that look like they cost a bunch more than we paid. Our electrician didn’t say anything one way or another about ease of installation so it must’ve been straightforward, as he’s not shy about grumbling about problematic products :). Would definitely recommend to friends or family.

Great product and easy to install
Product is well made and looks great. My neighbor actually came over and asked where I got them after they were installed. The only concern that I had as part of the install was the length and type of the bolts provided with the bracket assembly that mounts to the electric box. They are metric 4Mx0.7 and they were way too short to go from the electric box, through the siding mount panel and finally through the fixture. I reused the bolts from the original light but the threaded cap provided was also metric. I ordered some 6-32 black caps to hold the fixture in place on Amazon.*** Getting some surface rust about 2 years after install.

Modern and trendy
The media could not be loaded.
The contractor installed the lights. However we didn’t have the bulb when the order was delivered so we ordered one of the LED lights that imitate gas line lights. The light fixture looks great against our new siding. You have to be careful with screwing in the bulbs because the screws are tiny. Also I purchased two light fixtures, however the one in my backyard looks a little crooked. I am unsure if it came that way since it was installed by our contractor. I wanted my exterior front lights to stand out. This outdoor light fixture does the trick in style.

These will rust out.
Nice looking lights.The small screws to take it apart and change bulbs are a pain.Installation is as easy as it gets for this type of light.Ive had four of these lights installed on my back deck for just under three years and they have all rusted out and need to be replaced.If a bulb burned out I dont think they could be disassembled to replace the bulb and reassembled due to the rust.The price was OK when I bought them but Ill be buying a light more suited to outdoor conditions this time around.

Pretty, Lacks Functionality
I really like the way this looks, and it adds lots of light to my outdoor areas. Unfortunately there is no gasket or foam piece where the glass meets the top of the fixture. So on rainy days, foggy mornings, or any day with the humidity is high you will notice that the inside of the glass gets foggy because moisture gets in. I’m pretty sure that over the life of this it will be in shortly greatly due to moisture getting into the Bulb housing area. But I really do like the way it looks I may just decide to buy some weatherstripping to put around the inside of the glass

Just what we were looking for.
We are building a house in Hawaii with a slightly nautical decor, more beach decor than anything else. This light has that look. It is built of good quality, solid metal. The glass bowl is nice and has a raindrop look. There are LARGE, which is what we needed, so they fit our needs perfectly. Ordered two to confirm they were the right size, then ordered more to complete the project. We wish they were available in a bronze finish and/or a galvanized finish, but they are not. Fortunately that can be remedied with spray paint.

Love the look of these lights
I purchased 4 of these lights to replace all the tired and worn out fixtures on my house after we did a complete exterior renovation. They look fabulous especially with the Edison style bulbs in them. They are a good size for my 2 story home and seem solid. The glass also seems thick enough not to be too fragile.

Mounting screws where too long and had to put some washers in order to get them tight enough
The mounting screws it came with were too long so I had to put a few washers on to get the base of the light tight enough to be flush to the wall. If not the light would be hanging at an angle. I wish it would have come with some washers or small bushings in order for me not to have to hunt for some all around my house.

Best Quality, easy to install!!!
Oh My Goodness!!!These lights are very good quality! This was our third purchase and try for out door light fixtures and these are so much better than anything we had considered. Nice Looking Porch Light
This was a DIY project that was simple enough. In order to fit properly, my old box required a 2″ extension adapter and some added mortar to make it flush with my stone wall.I was very happy with the results and updated look to my porch light.

Looks nice once installed
So far so good! It looks nice, and works well. The only thing I don’t like about it is that you basically have to take the whole thing apart if you need to change the bulb. The screws are tiny and super easy to drop when you are trying to put them in.

Exceeded Expectations
Due to the low cost, I had pretty low expectations. I expected a lot of cheap plastic. I was wrong. The light is actually metal with real glass. I am a little worried about how thin the connection (light/bulb part) is to the frame itself, but so far so good. The light is also much larger than I expected. I have only had the lights installed for about 1-month, but everything is working out great and they are better than expected.

Missed the Mark
The globe assembly of these lights is great. However, the baseplate assembly is made of VERY thin steel and it flexes from the weight of the globe so the globe will never hang straight. A typical cost reduction that ruined a great style design. An additional 3 bucks would have solved this problem (I am an engineer so I see this all the time). I ordered 8 of them so I am peeved to say the least. I will have to fabricate something to stiffen the baseplate so they hang straight.

Looks great, but pretty low quality
So you get what you pay for. These are inexpensive, and they look great from afar. When you get up close though, you can see the cheapness. Things like how the bulb socket isn’t centered prefectly, so the bulbs always look kind of crooked to one side or another. Also, the back plate is pretty thin sheet metal, so the lantern light doesn’t hang perfectly parallel with the wall, it kind of sags. If you try to bend it up, you can see the base bending like the support piece wants to break off. I’ll keep them since they’re already installed and look fine, but if I were to have a do over, I most likely would not buy these again and spend a little more money for something higher quality and built more sturdy. These feel like something you’d find on a house that was flipped. Cheapest, prettiest part they could find to install real quick and make it look good in pictures.

Beautiful, really glass, but do not hang straight
These are actually glass, if that is not clear – I swear I looked all over the internet trying to verify this. I was not certain because other outdoor wall lights that were also “seeded glass” had reviewers disappointed that they were plastic. These are beautiful, a nice size, and my hubby said not to difficult to install (he is an electrician, however). I would not say they are of the best construction, but that was expected due to the cost. They do not hang straight, unfortunately – I had expressed concern about this to my husband based on reading other purchasers encountering this issue. He said he didn’t think that would be a big deal, that the hanger could be bent. But, alas, no, that cannot be done. So, not the best, but decent for the price! We bought four for the front – but, the back and side door lights will be a different choice due to the slant once hung.EDIT TO ADD – Company posts these auto “call us” replies, but no follow through. You also cannot respond to their post – odd!

It’s a little flimsy.
Overall, it’s pretty good. It looks good, the glass is nice and thick, but it’s a little flimsy. The housing (where it sits agains the wall) is really thin, it flexes and can bend very easily making the light look off center, or tilted downward.. If you are placing these in a area where kids may have a basketball bouncing around, you better keep a spare handy. One small hit and it’s going to be toast.

Easy Installation
Used this light for a remodeling project on a home. House originally did not have a porch light. The light installation was easy and the light has a nice appearance. The only think that I didn’t like was the mounting bracket has a lot of swivel to it so even after dogging down the screws with a nut driver the light still has left and right play in it-so an animal or bird could easily know if askew and out of level.

Looks great, easy setup, good value and no bugs piling up.
Very easy to setup and the sealed lighting fixture keeps bugs from piling up and inch deep inside like my old one did. Fairly easy to install but a bit difficult after bulb placed for one person to hold bottom and align/attach to top.. I found a couple strong magnets placed on top edge worked to hold the bottom to top to finish up. Use magnetic Philips screwdriver to hold screws too. If you drop those tiny screws aligning them with the top you’ll never find them for a second try!

Bang for the buck indeed
For the price these vintage style exterior light housings are pretty darn good. If you are on the fence due to a few lackluster reviews; in my opinion these are worth every penny, nickel and dime.I do not get any sort of “cheap” feeling from these nor did I encounter any discrepancies as far as tilting or crookedness when mounted. All in all I’m glad I purchased these. This product undoubtedly has my recommendation.

Nice lamp but could be improved.
I like the style and look of these lamps but the metal backplate is very thin and flexes easily with the wind especially with the large glass globe installed. The arm is sturdy and heavy duty but the rectangular mounting surface is very thin and flexible. I am afraid that after a few years of service these will start to crack and fail due to fatigue. Also, the mounting screws were not sufficiently long enough so I had to slightly bend the bracket forward to enable enough threads to come through the holes to start the nuts to tighten the fixture to the wall/electrical box.

Not Dusk to Dawn but Beautiful!
We ordered 2 lights and 1 arrived cracked. Amazon replaced the item which was great. Once they were installed, they completely changed the look of our house in a positive way! They look very modern/farmhouse style! They are not dusk to dawn lights, but you can install a dust to dawn bulb and it works just the same. Very happy with our purchase!

They’re OK for the price
While they seem to be sturdily built, and all work, (we bought 6) they are a bit wonky. We had them professionally installed when we had new siding, so it’s not “bad homeowner installation” but none of them seem to be parallel to rh e wall when installed. They all lean a little bit. It’s not horrendous, just noticeable, and therefore annoying. I’m glad we bought long life LED bulbs for them, because changing/installing bulbs is difficult due to inconveniently placed screws to attach the shade to the body of the lamp. Like I said, they’re OK for the price.

Mounting is tricky.
First off I’ve been an electrician for over 40 years. Now that’s out of the way I’ll have to say unless you have a “Metal” octogon box your mounting to be prepared to Macgyver the heck out of it! I have a plastic (pvc) octogon box for a mount and there “Design” for mounting is marginal at best. Three trips to Lowes later I got it installed.. Needles to say the wife like it (her idea) .. Happy wife Happy life! Hope this helps some home electricians out there!

Its beautiful and bigger than expected.
This light is quick and easy to install, one issue I had however was the length of the screws that hold it on with the little black screw balls were too long but a quick snip and they were the length I needed. The seeded glass is beautiful and I would have gone with the Edison bulb but I just wasnt getting enough light so a 60w equivalent clear bulb halogen is the way to go.

I LOVE these lights . They are affordable and look so nice on my garage. My only complaint would be that when looking from the side of the light the fixture is bent in towards the house . This is consistant in the three lights I have purchased . I bought dawn to dusk sensors light bulbs since this fixture does not have those features and it was a perfect solution!

Nice nautical design outdoor light fixture
Used these for a home remodel on the rear side. It lights up well but wish they came with the warm led bulbs as oppose to daytime. They are fairly large for the application I had in mind but worked well enough for a $2.8mil home.

Very imperfect.
The light came totally crooked. It was packaged well, so well that the packing was really difficult to remove and separate from the actual light.The “shade” was really bent where it attaches to the light post. It spins relatively freely, until it’s secured with the glass globe, but the shade was so crooked that when it turned it was so obvious that it was wrong. I ended up having to work really hard to sort of “unbend” the attaching metal flanges. It’s not perfect, but I think i can make it work. The glass globe (really a cylinder) has a noticeable air pocket and i don’t love that. If it had the seed-style globe, it would be fine, but it’s clearly not supposed to be like that… I really expected better. Poor quality.

Great design, sturdy, easy to install
This product came free of defects and was extremely easy to install. Directions are not step by step, but following the diagram is simple enough. It came with all necessary parts (excluding lightbulb) and was well packaged. This item provides lots of light in a hallway that doesn’t have any windows. It is bright enough to be safe on the stairs in the middle of the night. It also creates cool shadows because of the bars.

We purchased 3 of these for our front porch. Very pleased with the quality, especially for the price. Nice, stylish and sturdy fixture. The glass is beautiful. We replaced older, outdated fixtures so our installation was quite simple. To add to the character, we are using the vintage Edison 60w daylight dusk-to-dawn bulbs, which look great and worked wonderfully, turning on as the sun set. I would highly recommend this fixture! Perfect fit!
It met my expectation and looks great! I had to replace my old lamp that was a sensor, but went on when it wanted to go on. Larger than expected and beautiful!
Only downside was that installation want straight forward on my existing porch light electrical set up. We had to me around with things to get it to fit correctly and so it lands a tiny bit forward. I live in a manufactured home so not sure if that was the problem. Nothing ever seems “standard” in this place. 🤷♀️Its GORGEOUS though! Matches some solar lights I have in the backyard. Why the price hike???
I was very happy with these, they look very nice for the money. I just purchased two of these about a month ago for only $36 a piece. Solid porch light!
Just installed this porch light today and so far so good! It was a replacement for an older, ugly porch light that came with the house. This light literally took less than five minutes to completely install. Here’s an installation tip: remove the lower glass and metal encasement before installing. The top part of the lamp is very light and can easily be balanced on a ladder or against your shoulder while attaching the three electrical wires with both hands. The lamp is solid and looks and feels much more expensive than its actual cost. Also, it hangs straight up and down unlike what some of the other reviewers suggested. This porch light is highly recommended.P.S. I purchased this lamp new but when I opened the box, it was actually used but was in good condition so I decided to keep it. Is it just me or is this happening more and more often with Amazon?

Almost perfect
I bought three of these for my garage and installation was very easy on these. You do get everything you need for them, but my only issue was that it seemed like the arm holding the light down could have been a little more sturdy if they would have went with a straight bar and had it bolted on the plate twice. It’s not as sturdy as I’d want it but it still looks amazing and it’s well sealed. Time will tell to see if there are bugs that will get in there and I’m pretty sure they will because they always find a way. I know some people complained that it’s a hassle to take the two screws out to change the light bulb. So make sure you put a LED in there and you won’t have to do it as frequently. I am satisfied with them and keeping my fingers crossed that they last a long time

Nice light, installation can be finicky
Cosmetically it’s quite attractive. It’s fairly flimsy metal but should hold up. Two things to be aware of: (1) it only comes with one set of mounting screws, which may or may not be the right length for your installation depending on how flush your gangbox is. I bought two, and on one I had to cut the screws off, and on the other I had to buy longer screws. (2) If you are mounting on exterior clapboards, the long base makes it a little finicky. On one of mine, I had to drill a new set of holes so it didn’t mount over two different clapboards, which would have created a large gap and exposed the wiring to the elements. A smaller base would make it more flexible.

Substantial fixture – beautiful & affordable!
This light is just what I was hoping to find for my back door – it’s a really substantial light for an extremely reasonable price. I love the seeded glass and the vaguely nautical/industrial vibe – both elements of my front porch light.My 16-year-old had it installed within 20 minutes, and it looks great. My only slight fault with it is that the metal piece that goes under the shade is just ever so slightly off from parallel to the mounting wall. You’d literally need to be standing with your face in the light to notice, though – so I don’t, ha!I’m doing lots of updates around my home, and learning that it would be very easy to spend TONS of money for something that fits your aesthetic – or to pay less for something tiny or chintzy (or worse, ugly!). This was a very good find; I didn’t have to settle for any of those things.

Tremendous value
For what I would’ve paid for a single lamp elsewhere, I bought 8 for my house and barn. The style is exactly right — rural-chic. The seeded glass globe seals well to the lamp housing. Installation was a 1-person job.I’m usually resistant to Amazon’s add-on upsell efforts but here the Dewenwils “Edison” LED light compliment the lamps perfectly.A couple of tips: Install the light bulb before putting up on the wall; after releasing 2 fiddly little screws, pull down firmly as the housing fits snugly into the top. And hold on to all the packaging — there’s a complete set of mounting hardware included if you don’t throw out all the cardboard as I mistakenly did. Look for it.

Good looking fixture, hard to change bulbs
The fixture looks good and is easy to install, but changing the bulbs is awkward, it requires some disassembly. Invest in quality light bulbs.

Just Okay
Cheaply built, they look okay but probably won’t last 5 years. My guess is the LED light bulbs last longer then these sconces. I put the bulbs and the glass on before attaching to the wall. Much easier than trying to screw glass piece on after, very poor design. Good thing the bulbs will out last the lights, should not need to change. Would not buy again!
