    Nice little, quiet ceiling fan

We installed this fan a few days ago. Our favorite handyman said it was not too bad of a chore. Now the fan is in place, doesn’t wobble a bit, very quiet except at the high speed it can’t be heard at all, and the breeze it produces moves the heavy humid Hawaiian air quite well. As others have pointed out, the remote control is a bit flaky, you are never quite sure if it is responding or not. Our unit does not beep at all (thank the heavens!) but perhaps they had put the beep into the unit so you had some feedback that the unit received your signal. I am never quite sure what fan speed I am set to. And controlling the dimming function of the light can be quite a struggle. If you can set the fan & light to your favorite settings, you can use the wall switch to control the unit as it seems to remember its settings over on-off toggles of the switch. In general I can recommend the fan and am considering installing it in two more of our bedrooms.

I’d buy it again… despite the remote

Frankly, I’d pay more for a better remote. BUT… the fan is awesome. It’s minimal and small. The speed that it can achieve moves a ton of air, so no worries there. Install was cartoonishly simple… no probs. The remote has directions and the logic that they developed for how to control everything is …. laughable. So, I genuinely dislike their remote. I hope they come up with something better that can be purchased to replace this idiotic unit… but the fan is awesome enough that again… I’d buy more of them.

    Fanally installed…

I could say it was an easy install except that the motor or some component therein was bad and I had to wait 2 mos before finally receiving a replacement that went up and worked!I’ve seen several accounts of excessive noise and an annoying beep from the remote. After installation I was easily able to disable the remote beep as it’s outlined in the remote instructions and no other excessive noise has been observed. Although being located in a kitchen there won’t be a need to turn on a high level and no real need to balance.I would have liked to have higher lumens in the light fixture to give a softer white and I will contact Hunter directly to see if that option is available. I’m no ‘fan’ of the more yellow, lower lumen lights…

Light is not replaceable and did not last long

The fan looks nice and operated as expected for the first few months. The LED light died after about 5 months and we quickly found it is not replaceable as a simple home depot trip.Still working on finding a replacement.

Exposed screws and too-cool LED cheapen the look

Overall, a quiet and sleek fan. But, there are a couple of aesthetic issues I have with this fan that cheapen the overall look.- The mounting screws at the top of the unit, near the ceiling, are exposed. There is no strip or canopy to cover them. If you have a White model, they are especially noticeable, as the mounting bracket is white and the screws are silver. I’m considering painting over the screw heads with white paint.- If your recessed ceiling electrical box is not flush, then your ceiling fan will not be flush with the ceiling; you will have a gap at the top on one side. This could be solved with the the same solution as the exposed mounting screws: a canopy piece.- The included, proprietary light kit has a very cool color temperature. I’d liken it to a GE Refresh bulb, which is typically appropriate for laundry rooms, utility rooms, etc. Not for living room or bedroom. Would prefer a warmer color temp.NOTE: Some reviews note that every action causes a beep. You can turn on/off the beep alerts via the remote if it bothers you. Not sure if this configuration was available when the others wrote their reviews.

Excellent fan except for the light

This fan itself is beautiful, it’s quiet, it was easy to install, and if it weren’t for the included light “bulb,” I would give it five stars. But that light… It pulses at just the wrong speed so that it gives a slight strobe effect when there’s motion, at any level of light. I will say it gets plenty bright (for our purposes, anyway), but with the pulsing, that isn’t necessarily a bonus. It’s horrible.Beyond the pulsing, I was rather upset to see it’s a specialized bulb unit that will require special ordering, so who know if it will be possible to replace when it dies.

    Can be balanced

I bought two of these and I guess I got lucky with the first one because it didn’t need to be balanced at all. The second one was very out of balance. So much so that I thought it was defective, but I was able to get it perfectly balanced eventually. I had to add balancing weights to two of the three blades. The balancing kit that comes with this only has one clip, I had to use both the balancing kit from the first and this one so you may need to buy another balancing kit to get it balanced right.

Great Fan, poor instructions (HOLD LONG PRESS LIGHT on Remote for BRIGHT!!)

We are very happy with the fan but initially we hated it because the light was so dim. I called Amazon customer service and they walked us through a trick. The light button on the remote needs to be pressed long about 5 seconds for the light to get stronger. Doesn’t mention anywhere in the instructions !!👍🤗

Bought this Hunter fan several years ago for a bedroom. Family loves it so had to buy another one for other bedroom. Very stylish ceiling hugger & remote makes it so easy to use.

Great Fan. Light is perfect for a medium sized room

I finally found a fan I like! Love the style, the size, and the light, actually. I was concerned when I read the reviews indicating the light was too dim but, as you can see, it is perfectly bright for this room (about 12×14 ft). It works really well, and it’s very quiet at at full speed. The remote and its buttons are a bit unpredictable though and, on the slow fan setting, it makes this clicking noise that I truly hope we can fix because that’s our preferred setting . I’ll post an update once we do fix it (or don’t).REVISED: The clicking sound fixed itself. We installed a second fan (52 in) in our family room where it does not look as bright, but it still is an excellent, modern, low profile fan

    Beautiful Modern Fan

Purchased two of these to switch out older fans in our home. Love the modern look to them. Installation wasn’t too bad with instruction manual. I wish the light was a little brighter.

Good fan, could use a couple improvements for greatness.

I really like this fan. I may order a second one soon. It has a great modern look. Runs silent. Good airflow. Low profile design. Install is pretty easy.Unfortunately there are two issues I have found.1) There are no controls without the remote or the wall switch. If you wire the remote to a single wall switch so that the fan and the light are wired together than your only way to independently control both are to use the remote. DON’T LOSE THE REMOTE. An improvement would be to include fan adjustments and on/off buttons for both somewhere on the fan itself.2) There is a neat little beep that the fan makes when you use the remote to adjust the fan or turn something on or off. It adds a modern “advanced” touch to the fan. However, it is a bit loud and can be disturbing to someone sleeping. I would suggest the ability to control volume or turning it on or off.Bonus:The lights are LED. Why not make the light brightness adjustable like the fan is?Fix those two things and you have a great fan!

    Nice and quiet!

I installed this fan on Easter weekend and we are now approaching Christmas. My main concern in choosing a fan was the potential noise because I prefer a silent room to sleep in. This fan is great. There is obviously air noise if it’s turned up high, but lowering it at night keeps the air moving enough to feel it and reduces the noise significantly. Every now and then there is a clicking that happens that is caused from the wires for the light hitting the blades. I just need to open it up and secure them out of the way which I haven’t done. The light isn’t super bright so beware if you are wanting that. I am a little concerned about how to replace the donut looking light bulb when it’s time, but not enough to research it yet. The installation was easy peasy once I replaced the electrical box to be fan supported (replacing the box is a different story…..check into that before you tear things apart!) I would recommend this fan to anyone!

Independent light / fan control no worky

I have the fan wired to two switches; one controls the fan; one controls the light switch. This configuration does not work properly – meaning you cannot independently control the light. Light cintrol/switch only works when the fan switch is on.The light that comes with the fan is very dim, even when all the way turned up with the remote.I do not recommend this fan. Everything stated above you’ll find in another reviews. I’ve bought two other fans off Amazon that don’t have issues like this.

    Quiet, quiet!!

This is the second I have ordered. So quiet and fit close to ceiling. Light is not real bright which works for me. I light to leave it on at night as the rooms are rather large that I have them in. I like that they are simple and unassuming. I have one in our den and putting one between kitchen and dining room to replace a can light as the room is 12′ wide and 30′ long and all one room with a fireplace at the end of dining area. Just felt it needed some circulation as I do cook and bake a lot. Plus there is only 1 A/C-heat register. I ordered the black because my other lights are black and very simple also. I love this fan light!! Remote is small and easy to use. I have installed many lights and fans but I did have a handy man install this. Hard for me with arthritis to do much heavy overhead work any more.

    Fan screws strip

I got the fan today and installed it. My only complaint is the screws to the fan blades strip when being screwed into the motor housing. The first two blades went in fairly well but the third blade was a pain. I had to buy 10/32 screws from a hardware store and a few of those stripped too. Overall, it’s a nice looking fan for our small back room and it runs nicely.

    Perfect for smaller rooms

The media could not be loaded.

This is my 3rd ceiling fan install so it went fairly smoothly. The instructions were clear to me, not sure what others were stating that the instructions weren’t clear. First one took me about an hour including setting up the ladder and tools, the second one about 45 minutes all in.Not much to report other than the following:Pros: quiet on speed 1 , slight wobble at max speed. Moves an average amount of air but not too much for both a 12 x 10 and 16 x 10 bedroom.Does appear to recall the last setting if the wall light power switch is turned off.Cons: no timer for fan or light. Silver finish on the fan blades scratches very easily.

Pricey, easy to install, good airflow, terrible lumens.

I don’t have the beeping issue everyone else is having, because I read the instructions and know that it can be turned on or off as you please…. The install was easy enough, great instructions.I installed it with a smart switch and it worked 50% of the time. The times it was working, the airflow was strong and powerful, the lumens were absolutely terrible and too dark. Unfortunately it’s a super custom bulb. There are replacements on Amazon, but none that are bright enough for my liking. So we just went with a classic style, 5 blade, fan and it works just fine.

    Pretty good fan

I feel like the light isn’t really bright enough. But the fan works well- there is some shaking at higher speed. It’s is large so be careful with your measurements. Looks great and comes with a remote.

Remote can disable beep and brighten light

I have three of these fans. The beep is easily disabled by pressing the light bulb and arrow at same tine. One beep to acknowledge its disabled and then it’s quiet. Also, one fan had very dim light after install but the other two were fine… finally discovered the light is dimmable with the remote! So it was dimmed all the way. To brighten the light press and hold the light bulb button on the remote! Keep pressing and it cycles through dimmest to brightest. The manual did not say anything about dimmable light nor beep disable with remote.

    Not up to expectations

This fan is not whisper quiet as reported in prior reviews. Motor noise is heard at all speeds, particularly at the middle and high speed. The mounting plate screw hole openings begin at 8 cm between them while our standard ceiling outlet secured for a fan load has screws set at 7 cm between them. This required drilling out 2 new holes in the steel mounting plate. The van wobbles considerably at high speed. For the price paid and the Hunter brand. these issues should not have occured and this fan should have been designed to a higher standard or not put on the market at all. We were planning to purchase a 2nd one for an adjacent bedroom but that will not be happening now.

    Sleek look, solid functionality

It took me forever to pick out a fan and this one is the right combination of form and function. The remote is so important! Read the piece of paper that comes with it so you know how to turn off the beeping so many reviewers complain about and to change the direction in summer/winter. My only complaint is that the motor housing arrived bent, so as the fan turns you can see a wobble even though it’s balanced. It doesn’t seem to affect the performance or noise level, it’s just not that pretty.

    Beautiful and functional ceiling fan

I am very pleased with this fan that I installed in my home office. I am not a super handy man or an installer and I had to work a bit more than I expected to install it, but all went well. It works awesome. My wife now wants the same in our guess bedroom but with the blades the other way around (wooden look).

Easy installation and very quiet operation

Bought 2 of these fans. Found them to be well made with excellent directions and easy to install. VERY quiet operation. The remote works very well and comes an with easy to understand instructions card…including how to easily mute the beep. I agree with the comment made by some reviewers that the mounting screws should be white, but I also agree with other reviewers that you just need to dab the screw with white paint if you are so inclined. I will be buying another of these fans.

I like the fan, but can not find replacement remote controls for this fan

I bought four of these during my renovation. I like the fans but need replacement remote controls. I asked the question and was told they are readily available and programmable, however every search I’ve done does not bring up these remotes or even other remotes that include the model number for this so I would know it had the necessary functionality. That includes on the Hunter fan site.If someone has a link to replacement remotes for these fans, please post it here. I would be happy to change rating and review if I can locate proper replacement remotes, but at this point I’m being generous. There should be a link above for replacement remotes.

A bit expensive, but worth every penny

This fan cost a bit more than most I have installed in our home, but I needed something compact with a smaller blade length. I can’t say enough positive comments about the fan. Install/assembly was relatively easy as far as ceiling fan units go, and the operation is simple. What really impresses me is the absolute silence of the motor when running. It’s almost as if the unit isn’t on!If you can swing the extra bucks for this fan, you will not be disappointed at all!

Fast, well instructed install. Excellent and quiet fan.

This is an excellent fan, and the install process was fast, and easy to follow. The instructions were clear, step by step, and made it easy. With shape labeled packages you can’t mess up the hardware.I was able to prep, install, and clean up two fans in less than two hours with little additional help. The second fan, I did entirely by myself in less than 45 mins once I’d mastered the first.Operationally, this fan is wonderfully quiet, self balancing, and works great. The dimming is a bit weird as it goes in steps, but it’s fine and does a good job.The led warmth is good too.The easiest fan install I’ve ever done. I’m getting a 3rd for our master room now.

    Exceeded expectations

Very well built. Thoughtful installation method and instructions easy to follow. Motor is silent, can only hear the wind of the fan. Bushed Nickel. Beware, motor is heavy, so you need some strength to install, and need a solid foundation in your ceiling to install this. But the heavy motor tells me its a quality product. Remote is a bit clumsy because a few buttons have multiple uses – this is never an intuitive design for the casual user. Other than that, remote works very well. Ignore the people who complain about the remote beeping, this is good feedback signal to tell you the signal was sent.

No Noise fan with terrible quality control

The cons far outweigh the pros of this fanPROS: Fan has incremental speed increase buttons through the remote control. You also can change the fan direction for winter/summer use from the remote so no need to climb up and flip a switch. Mounting bracket does contain a hook for the motor housing to hang to ease with the wiring process. Fan runs silent and you can pair the fan with a BOND smart hub for controlCONS: Make sure to purchase a tapping kit because the holes drilled in the mounting bracket are poorly tapped or for me one hole wasn’t tapped at all. Mounting bracket holes for the housing also aren’t even straight and angled down making it a nightmare trying to hand thread and tighten. Glass dome that covers the LED has lots of imperfections in it that look like it is permanently dusty or dirty. Box also comes with a balance kit that is a requirement to install or your fan will wobble like crazy. It essentially adds weight to the blade that is causing the wobble. Nothing makes me more frustrated than companies that put fixes of poor design on the customer to implement. No preset fan speed buttons and no way to know where you are in the fan speed range. LED light also starts at the lowest dim setting on first turn on. So you need to know to hold the light button on the remote to dim up to the level you desire.Other Thoughts: I really expect more from a fan that is close to $200 and from Hunter

Decent fan, but it has big flaws.

We bought this ceiling fan to install in our bedroom. We hired an electrician to do it. When it came time to screw the fan blades to the fan blade holders, the screws were too large. The electrician had to use an impact driver to force them in. That can’t be right. So we called installation “support”.It took 23 minutes for them to answer the phone. The guy who answered had a major attitude problem. As in “yeah-so what do you want ME to do about it?”. He admitted the screws were wrong, but offered no solution. I said, can you send us the correct screws? He said sure, but you will have to supply proof of purchase. Now, in case you think I am pranking you, I am not. I literally had to supply proof of purchase or Hunter would not send me a 50 cent bag of screws. I kid you not. How do I need these screws unless I am installing that particular fan? Is there an international gang of Hunter fan screw thieves?Anyway, we got the fan installed, and it works ok. It looks great. But the light, is really, really dim. Even on the highest setting. So I tried something. There is a glass cover that twists on over the light, and I removed it. Now we are getting double the light!?!?!?!? The glass diffuser which twists on over the light, literally, and once again I am not making this up, blocks 50% of the light. W the serious F? We are operating it without the room darkening diffuser cover, but come on. How stupid do you have to be to supply an LED light, then put something over it which blocks half the light output? Answer: as stupid as the Hunter engineer who designed this fan, that’s how stupid. The other problem is that remote (there are no manual pull-chains, only a remote) constantly forgets where you set the light. If you turn off the light to go to sleep, you have to reset it to high.OK so there you go. It is a good looking fan, works great as a fan, and produces an adequate amount of light but only if you leave the glass diffuser cover off. I think it looks kind of industrial without the glass cover. And God help you if you need any installation help. You won’t get it.

I stopped during installation thinking I missed a step to put on some type of dress ring to cover the silver mounting screws and the gap between the ceiling. See photos. I changed the two screws on the slots to flathead to be more flush and covered with white tape. It looks better but disappointing. I will get some white screws or paint the other two. It also seems that the fan does not remember the last speed. So every time you turn on the fan it starts at max and you have to readjust the speed if you don’t want fast speed. This is going to be the norm and annoying. Otherwise so far the fan is quiet. I have yet to see how the LED light will work when it gets dark. Also the mounting bracket screw slots do not extend close enough to reach old style fan mounting box covers. I had to drill two new holes to get it to mount. See photo.

    Hunter Fan 44in

The media could not be loaded.

Bought this fan for my office. I have another hunter fan in my bedroom which is why I decided to stick to this brand. The fan has a very sleek look and fits perfectly into my rectangle shaped office. The base is pretty bulky and instructions weren’t great to first get things started but still pretty straight forward. My biggest complaint is the light is more of a soft/warm white where I prefer cool/daylight white and it’s an LED so not sure if I have the option to purchase a different light piece (stay tuned)! I saw some reviews that their remote had a beep but I don’t have a beep on mine and everything still seems to be working appropriately. When I first turned the fan on it was loud and the top looked crooked so I just did a little wiggling with it and it settled and now it’s SO QUIET. I would recommend.

    Nice fan not enough light

The fan is super quiet well built it looks good that’s why I bought it. I expected more light in my kitchen my kitchen isn’t that big on the highest light setting it’s not even close to giving me 20% of the light needed for my kitchen. They should have an option for a brighter bulb in this fan, if you need light, don’t buy this fan! If light doesn’t matter that it’s perfect!

    Decent fan for the price

Other than FedEx loosing our package for 2 weeks, this fan is fairly quiet on low, looks minimal (although taller than I expected), and had a decent installation process (for someone who has hung fans before).Did have a small defect in the metal/white matte finish that’s a bit annoying but you won’t notice on the daily. The quality control seems a bit lacking, as the disc the fan blades attach to seems to have a not perfect circular shape and is noticeable when the fan is running, but doesn’t seem like the fan is out of level. My main gripe is the remote, it feels very cheap and is oddly small. However, like most wall plates, you’d expect the remote and mount to be white… but no it’s black so not likely to throw that eye sore on the wall next to white wall switches. I’m aware of a wall plate that can be bought to enable a extra wireless interface, but that’s just something that should have been in the box.You can disable the beeps from the remote which is nice.

    Easy installation

The media could not be loaded.

Easy installation of this ceiling fan. It works as it should. The LED light has a dimming feature and works great.Although, the fan did not fit flush against the ceiling. I will have to find a molding to put around it. Hunter does not make a ceiling molding for this unit. The remote is black????? Why when ordering a white ceiling fan they send you a black remote ?????? I want a white one. Also why is not the ceiling molding included in this ?Otherwise it works great !!!!!!

    Nice quality fan

I bought these for 2 bedrooms. I have 8 foot ceilings and needed something low profile. Fan is perfect size and is quiet. I like the remote too. Light is not too bright or too dark- just right. Contractor had these up quickly.

    so quiet

I’m so happy with this fan! My son is fussy about any noise when he sleeps so I was nervous about how quiet it would actually be. I’m happy to say it is as quiet as advertised. It’s easy to change the light brightness and fan speed. I would definitely recommend this ceiling fan.

The light is so bad, it might as well not even have a light.

great looking unit and easy to install but, the light is awful. it might as well not even have one

    short and fat

this fan is affordable and quite nice for the price. I think it’s too fat at the flush mount for its length that it drops down and even though it’s the 44inch blade it still feels a bit too bulky because of its base. otherwise, the fan works great and is quite easy to install and not complicated to run. and the light has two modes bright and brighter. the design could be more low profile but this is a hunter fan. like putting lipstick on a pig. still a pig.

Wobble baby wobble baby wobble baby

This bad boy wobbles and there is no balancing that corrects it. Even after pulling everything apart, ensuring things are tight and aligned, its wobbly. This makes it look cheap and also keeps you up at night for fear of it falling on you (though I doubt that will actually happen). The fan itself looks nice… just not when its turned on and wobbling. The controls are easy, the light dims, and otherwise pretty happy.

Compact and powerful enough for my project

Needed a ceiling fan for the second floor hallway, to help dissipate the warm air and push it towards the first floor. Due to the narrow width of the hallway (80″) and its limited height (92″), my aims were towards something compact but powerful enough to do the job. This low profile Hunter fan checked all the boxes, so decided to purchase.Installation is fairly easy IF instructions are being followed closely. Do not invent or exclude steps, it will work against you….A number of reviewers complained about the lack of a “guide” for operating the remote and an annoying “beep” when sending commands to the device. I believe the manufacturer listened and now they ship a small piece of paper with button combinations, and there is no more beep. Good!In terms of usage, the fan has been on all day every day (turned off at night) for over 2 weeks now, and cannot be happier with the results. There is some “running noise”, but no wobble and constant, solid performance.

It’s oK for the room its in…

The fan works. My disappointment starts with the sound of it at low to medium speeds, it is not silent. Less of an issue when the HVAC is running but not what one would expect for 200+ bucks. Yes, the electrical is correct as is the grounding of my ceiling bracket / box. Next it is a serious PIA to hang because essentially you have to build the entire fan while it is hanging from the ceiling! So, piece by piece on a ladder feeding little screws into the motor housing…18 or more, I lost count. I am mechanically and electrically inclined, this is not my first ceiling fan job. As far as air flow, light control, etc. it works fine. The hardware was machined well too so once assembled it should last. Nice design and it’s a Hunter which usually last without issues. Hope this helps.

Good looking design, quiet, and bright light fan

First attraction: The design, Second: Minimal noise, and Third: The light is bright. I first wondered the same thing as other reviewer why the light is not bright enough, but took me a couple hours to google for way to adjust the brightness, I’m stumbled on a reviewer who found the solution by press and hold the light button, it will change the level of brightness. So, manufacturer please include a full and clear instruction to operate this fan. Overall it function well so far. will have to see how long it’ll last.

Cannot use with dual wall switches unless you manually run another wire through fan

This will not work with dual switches, it makes very little sense since the fan does have a blue wire, but when you wire the blue wire up it doesn’t work as you would expect and sometimes turns the light off and sometimes on. Really weird. Thanks to DJ Orange’s review I wired a seperate wire through the middle of the fan and bypassed the blue wire, now I can control the light on one switch, and I wired up a Leviton smart fan switch to the motor. The led light is nice and bright, and the fan looks great. Install is nice with the hook on the ceiling plate to hang the fan while wiring it up.Couple of things that aren’t really clear: the light on the fan is dimmable with the remote, but haven’t tried a light switch dimmer. If you ditch the remote and use a wall speed controller you’ll need to set the fan speed to high and let the wall switch set the speed.

    Quiet Fan

The Hunter Minimus fan is truly quiet! Can sleep without hearing a hum or vibration. Cools nicely as well. Took a bit to understand how the remote works.

Louder than it should be, but very stylish

It’s a nice looking fan with some fatal flaws.Personally, I don’t mind the beeping as so many hate, but it could be quieter for sure. I can’t believe there isn’t a built in option to turn it off and would hope with all the other comments that Hunter takes this in to consideration. The fan puts off a good amount of air, especially on high.Know that this is a HEAVY fan. You need a proper box or to install one of those boxes that hand screw in between your joists. DO NOT attempt hangin this without a proper box.The color and shape of it is nice and modern and this model works great if you have 8’ ceilings. It was surprisingly hard to find an affordable, close mount, matte black fan. The wood blade option is pretty too.Perhaps the biggest issue I have with this otherwise really pretty, sturdy fan is: it is nowhere near whisper quiet like the Hunter we replaced—or any of the others we have. I can hear this in the other room with both doors closed. It’s not horrifically loud; I’m living with it. But it’s annoying enough to wake up to from another room because of the vibrational sound. Had it not taken forever to find a black, modern fan without a down pole, I’d totally be returning it.If this is on a different floor from your bedroom/other side of the house, or if it’s in a room where you have sound (tv, music etc) regularly, totally go for it. If you have sensitive ears (maybe an Autistic child or such) or will be sleeping with this in your room-skip it.
